Well, it's February. I've had 13 snow days, and the air is so cold it hurts my face. So, what have I done all day? Research possible vacation destinations, of course.
This year we will be going on vacation in early June, as I will be 7 months pregnant. We've road tripped with me 7 months pregnant before. The longest trip we've ever taken, it was sandwiched between a wedding Tyler was in in St. Louis and my baby shower in Rockford, IL. It was two and a half weeks long and we drove through Missouri, Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Good trip. But, it was long and we drove through a whole lot of nothing to get anywhere cool.
Badlands: 2010
This year is the first year in a while that I have no idea where we should go. Colorado was an option, but we think the altitude will bother me. I thought about Texas, but we would like somewhere that's not 125 degrees. I keep going back and forth through several east coast options… Acadia National Park, Charleston, Michigan beaches… just to name a few.
To help me make my decision I took an online quiz. This quiz was supposed to match my personality with the perfect vacation destination. Tyler took the quiz and it said Alaska. I took the quiz and my top vacation destination was Branson, MO!!!!! bah… very funny online quiz. very. funny.
Needless to say, I love this part of the vacation. The planning. The dreaming. Endless possibilities with the open road. It's almost as great as actually being on vacation.
